Wow! It is June already! Kids are out of school and summer vacations are underway. It’s the midway point of the year and, like many organizations, we use this time to evaluate how we are doing. This is particularly important at PDHC because what we do is so vital to the health of families and our community. Moms and dads come to PDHC every day for help choosing whether or not they will have their babies. Think of that. We were excited to reach more people than ever before in 2018, but we know our work is far from done. PDHC’s 2019 goal is to care for families through at least 5,200 visits to our centers. I continue to be amazed by God’s goodness and faithfulness. It looks like we will be closer to 6,000 visits by the end of 2019. Last month we had 547 client visits, the highest number in PDHC history. It’s not the number of visits that means so much. It is the lives saved and changed as a result of those visits. Lives like the mother who recently had an ultrasound at PDHC and found out she was carrying more than one baby. She was planning to have an abortion, but is now considering adoption or parenting. Please continue to pray for her. Serving more people means we have a greater financial need. Our nurses are working to capacity, and we need more support to care for everyone who comes to us.
