Members of our team and I celebrated Sanctity of Human Life (SOHL) Sunday with many of our church partners on the 21st. We were blessed with invitations to speak on the impact of PDHC services in the community and the lives that are saved and changed every day. Many of these church partners kicked off SOHL with their Bottles for Life campaigns. Others bless the ministry of PDHC through mission and outreach support, baby showers, diaper and other baby items drives, as prayer warriors, and through volunteering. We are so thankful for each church family that helps us walk alongside new moms and their babies, dads, and families, as they experience God’s love through our words and actions. The lives saved today become our future mothers and fathers, grandparents, pastors, priests, first responders, doctors, nurses, teachers, or maybe scientists who find the cure for cancer and other life-threatening diseases. God has a plan for each precious life, and we are all called to defend and protect the gift of life.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send Me!” Isaiah 6:8.
Every January, since 1974, The National March for Life has brought together the pro-life movement from across thenation. This year, it was held on Friday, the 19th with the theme, “With Every Woman, For Every Child”. PDHC is one of 123 pregnancy centers across Ohio that is standing with each new mom and her baby, walking alongside her throughout her pregnancy and beyond, providing her with hope, support, and resources, and empowering her to choose life for her baby. We show her she CAN, when others may be telling her she CAN’T. She is a daughter of God, unique in our eyes, with her own story and personal challenges. We are here for her physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful.
I know that full well." Psalm 139:13-14.
Even though Roe v. Wade was overturned on June 24, 2022, the battle continues at the state level, especially in Ohio after the passing of Issue 1. Many of Ohio’s pro-life laws and the good work of pregnancy centers are under attack. Yet, the impact of pregnancy centers is undeniable as we continue providing life-saving services, making abortion unnecessary. TheCharlotte Lozier Institute just released its 2022 report, entitled HOPE for a New Generation, on the impact of pregnancy centers like PDHC. The results are astonishing!
