April - A Time to Celebrate our Volunteers!

Last night, the PDHC team celebrated and honored our amazing volunteers at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. The evening focused on their contributions through our theme and scripture for the year, Every Life Tells a Story, inspired by Psalm 139:16, “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”  Through their dedicated time, the sharing of their gifts and talents, and their support, they are an integral part of our story and the lives of those they help. Our volunteers plant seeds that help countless grow, making a generational impact in the lives of many.

The evening was a beautiful time of fellowship as we gathered together, shared a wonderful meal, and celebrated the meaningful role each volunteer plays in this ministry. Through heartfelt testimonies from our team, we were reminded that behind every story of hope is someone who chose to serve, to listen, to encourage, and to walk alongside individuals who reached out for help.

Every day, they are the voice of hope on the other line, an encouragement to a frightened mom facing an unexpected or challenging pregnancy, a source of strength to an unsure dad faced with a difficult decision, a lifeline to families in need of support, and a source of grace to women and men struggling from a past abortion experience.

We honored two volunteers with the PDHC Pierce Award. Ginny and Dee were given this award in honor of Sam and Karen Pierce, who long served PDHC in a variety of areas, including Board membership and direct client service. They exemplified caring for unborn life by providing care and practical support for mothers and families.

Like seeds planted in good soil, our volunteers are cultivating something far greater than what can be seen in the moment. They are planting seeds of hope, truth, and love, seeds that God is faithfully growing in the hearts of countless individuals and families.

Thank you for being part of this story, we are deeply grateful for you.

Blessings,

Kathy
