At the heart of every transformed life is a story. At PDHC’s Family Empowerment Center, we are honored to walk alongside individuals and families as they face some of life’s most challenging moments. Sophie’s story is one of fear, faith, and the quiet strength that comes from prayer and support.
“My name is Sophie, and when I was pregnant with my daughter, I felt disoriented and confused,” she shares. “I was not ready for another child.”
She was also facing deep relationship struggles. “I had problems with the father. We were even separated—even though we lived in the same home.”
Feeling emotionally isolated and uncertain about her future, Sophie believed there was only one option. “I had only one idea—not to keep the baby. But because of my fear of God, I didn’t have an abortion.”
That decision marked a turning point. Sophie found her way to PDHC and the Family Empowerment Center. There, surrounded by people who cared, she began to feel hope rising in her.
“I gradually started to feel confident again,” she says. “And then things got better.”
Her journey didn’t stop there. In a powerful testimony to the transformation possible through love and faith, the child’s father joined her in the program. “We learned a lot—especially the father,” Sophie says. “And now, I couldn’t imagine my life without my little star.”
At PDHC, stories like Sophie’s remind us that no one should walk through fear or uncertainty alone. Through prayer, resources, education, and compassionate support, lives are being changed every day.
And none of this would be possible without you.
To our donors, volunteers, and faithful prayer partners—thank you. Whether you give financially, provide material aid, offer your time, or lift up our families in prayer, you are part of every life touched at the Family Empowerment Center.
Together, we are empowering families, restoring hope, and celebrating life—one story and one heartbeat at a time.
