As we prepare our hearts and homes for the birth of our Savior, we rejoice in his gifts of hope, peace, joy, and love. At PDHC, staff and volunteers share these gifts every day with women who reach out for help. They give hope to her through a smile, encouraging words, and a listening ear. Peace fills her heart as she takes a breath and talks through her fears and challenging circumstances that brought her through our doors. Joy overcomes her when she is told she can do this, that she is not alone, and that we will walk alongside her every step of the way. She experiences love as she bonds with her baby when she sees and hears its heartbeat for the first time on an ultrasound.
More than 2,500 individuals have received these gifts through over 6,600 visits to our pregnancy centers and Family Empowerment Center. Over 66,000 calls, texts, and chats have been responded to on our 24/7 hotline. More than 12,500 online and over 900 in-person parenting education classes have been taken by over 430 new moms and dads. They also received practical support through over 2,000 material aid visits for diapers, baby clothing, and other much-needed baby items. 80 individuals have received hope and healing through over 500 participant sessions in our abortion recovery programs. Over 2,000 middle and high school students have received healthy choices education this school year.
We are thankful to our community and church partners, generous donors, and faithful prayer warriors who provide the resources needed to share these gifts. May you and your family be blessed with the timeless gift of hope, the tranquility of peace, the boundless joy that warms the heart, and the profound love that unites us all.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11
