Celebrating His Faithfulness

God's Word is our first and highest source of wisdom, truth, and daily direction. At PDHC, we have the tremendous privilege of having a front-row seat to seeing His Word at work. We seek Him in prayer throughout each day, beginning our meetings and center activities by placing them in His hands and faithfully lifting up our weekly prayer requests. We rejoice in the lives He continues to renew and transform through this ministry.

I am deeply grateful that our board, leadership, and staff seek God's guidance first. His wisdom shapes every decision we make and has faithfully grown PDHC far beyond what was imagined when the first pregnancy help center was envisioned 53 years ago.

On that note, it was wonderful to see so many of our volunteers at the Celebration of Life Galas! If you were unable to attend, I hope you've had a chance to read the September issue of The Daily Miracle and learn the exciting news: by God's grace, we will be opening our fifth pregnancy center in Columbus!

This expansion is not just a new milestone for PDHC, but a testament to God's faithfulness and to the incredible support of volunteers like you. Thank you for being an essential part of this ministry!

Rom. 8:28 And we know that for those who love God, ALL things work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose.

About Cathie:

My husband Jim and I have been married 40 years this year. We have 5 adult children and 8 grands between us. He have been members of Highland Baptist church for 34 years and have been active in serving in different capacities over the years. When I was working, I was in food services. I was brought up by a mom who loved to bake and cook, so I guess that's where I got my love for it. You can find me in the kitchen most of the time. I am active, I like to keep moving.

Volunteer Experience:

I first heard about PDHC as a young Christian. I was in a bible study group with some women from church and one of them said she had gone through a healing group for her past abortion, at PDHC. I never knew such a thing existed. When the Lord began to deal with me about my past, I turned to PDHC, seeking healing for my past abortions. I began my journey through the H.E.A.R.T program. (Healing the Effects of Abortion Related Trauma.) When I was finished with the 8 week program, I felt such a burden had been lifted from me. I wanted others to know there was Hope after abortion. That brought a question to my mind...What now Lord? What do I do with this?  I believe that God led me to volunteer in the post abortion healing ministry at PDHC. So I took the training and began serving as a co-leader for the H.E.A.R.T groups. Over the years we switched to a new curriculum, Living In Color. Over the 25 years I have been involved with PDHC I have served in many ways. Greeter at West office, putting together bags to give to new mothers, wrapping diapers, helping in the resource room. But my most memorable times are the Rachel's Vineyard Retreats. To see the changed lives of the women and men who have gone through these is such a blessing, knowing that God can use my redeemed story to help others come to know the freedom that I felt way back when.

I serve alongside some of the most humble and loving people in the aR Ministry. "An unlikely sisterhood" we call it. God has truly brought "Beauty instead of Ashes" to our lives.  (Is. 61:3)

It is a privilege to serve alongside so many who have a heart for the people who walk through the doors of PDHC for help, for resources, for compassion and for healing. Serving them as we serve our Savior!

Thank you for faithfully serving with us!
